Morgan Stanley’s Rochte On The Launch Of Their Global ETF Platform

Anthony Rochte, Managing Director, Global Head of ETFs for Morgan Stanley Investment Management, joined Julie Cooling, Founder and CEO of RIA Channel, to discuss Morgan Stanley’s global ETF platform launch.

Advisors prefer to have a choice of investment vehicles, including SMAs, active and passive ETFs, alternatives, and mutual funds.  To provide more choices for advisors, Morgan Stanley Investment Management will be launching a variety of ETFs from multiple brands across asset classes and jurisdictions. Parametric and Eaton Vance will be launching ETFs.

The first six ETFs launched in February 2023 were equity and fixed-income funds from Calvert, a leader in ESG and sustainable investing.  Four equity index funds track a variety of US, international, and DEI indices.   Actively managed ETFs include the Calvert US Select Equity ETF (CVSE) and the Calvert Ultra-Short Investment Grade ETF (CVSB). The Calvert ETF lineup quickly reached $380 million in AUM, including the largest fund, the Calvert US Large-Cap Core Responsible Index ETF (CVLC).
