George Hall

Mr. Hall is ultimately responsible for all final investment and trading decisions, risk management and quantitative analysis. Before founding Clinton Group, Inc. (“Clinton” or “Clinton Group”) in 1991, Mr. Hall was a vice president of Greenwich Capital Markets Inc. (“Greenwich Capital”), a leading primary dealer and mortgage securities broker dealer. At Greenwich Capital, Mr. Hall headed the mortgage arbitrage group, which traded mortgage securities, interest rate derivatives products, futures and options. Mr. Hall generated and implemented the firm’s analytical systems for CMOs and related securities. Before that, he directed the trading of mortgage securities, including agency pass-throughs, options, whole loans, CMOs, and other interest rate derivatives, at Citicorp Investment Bank. Prior to receiving his MBA, Mr. Hall was a nuclear engineer for the Tenneco Corporation. Mr. Hall holds a B.S. from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy and a MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Jonathan Belanger, CFA

Jonathan Belanger serves as Director of Research with AlphaCore Capital. In this role, Jonathan is responsible for overseeing the investment decision-making process, for building model portfolios and for managing the firm’s research efforts.

Before joining AlphaCore, Jonathan was with Commonwealth Financial Network, the country’s largest private independent broker/dealer with over $100 billion assets under management. He held progressively senior roles within the firm’s research division and was responsible for the alternative investments in PPS Select, Commonwealth’s model management program with over $3B AUM.

In addition to performing as a pianist in both the US and Europe, Jonathan sang in a band and recorded with 12-time Grammy-award winning producer, T-Bone Burnett. He still writes and performs occasionally.

Dick Pfister founded AlphaCore Capital and serves as President and CEO. From his decades of experience working with alternative investments, Dick recognizes worldwide markets and strategies have evolved over the past decades but most methods of asset allocation and financial planning have not. Realizing this challenge facing investors and their advisors, Dick launched AlphaCore because he believes there is a better way for clients to achieve greater diversification by using alternative investments.

Prior to starting AlphaCore, Dick was a Partner, Executive Vice President, Investment Committee member, and Managing Director of Altegris Investments. Dick’s experience combines analysis of alternative and traditional asset classes. He has experience working with various strategies including, but not limited to, long/short equity, global macro, managed futures, event driven, statistical arbitrage, loan origination, and private equity. While in a leadership role, Altegris Investments was sold to a Fortune 500 company in 2010.
