AOG Institutional Fund’s Baerenz and Rosen On Endowment Model Investing

Frederick P. Baerenz, AIF®, President and Chief Executive Officer, and Aaron Rosen, CFA, Portfolio Manager for AOG Institutional Fund (AOGFX), discuss how clients can implement the endowment model in a single fund vehicle.

Historically, alternative investments were accessed through limited partnership vehicles only available to qualified purchasers.  These funds had high investment minimums, K-1 tax issues, and a capital call structure that made it difficult to target a specific allocation to alternative investments.  The AOG Institutional Fund seeks to overcome these issues by offering a closed-end interval fund without K-1 forms and capital calls.  For a low minimum investment, investors in the fund gain access to diversified exposures in private investments including private equity, real estate, BDCs, and private credit.
