Public funding from recent legislation, such as the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), as well as a boost in private spending, are injecting hundreds of billions into the U.S. infrastructure space. Yet, despite a $1.2 trillion IIJA budget, only approximately $400 billion of the funds have been distributed at the state level. In other words, we’re just scratching the surface. Additionally, U.S. infrastructure companies are expected to benefit from established, long-term tailwinds, including the ongoing clean energy transition and deglobalization. Transitioning to a greener future will require significant investment into infrastructure, including cleantech manufacturing facilities, EV charging networks, and the U.S. power grid.
