Voya’s Greg Khost On Building Advisor Confidence and Credibility in a Complex Market

Greg Khost, Head of Intermediary Sales at Voya Investment Management, joined Julie Cooling, Founder and CEO of RIA Channel to discuss how advisors can build confidence, credibility, and stronger client relationships in an increasingly complex environment.

With advisors navigating a growing mix of technology platforms, private market offerings, and AI-driven tools, Coast highlighted the launch of the Voya Global Consulting Services Group. The research-driven initiative is designed to help advisors develop internal confidence and external credibility through behavioral science–backed insights and practical skill-building focused on communication, listening, understanding client behavior, and navigating uncertainty during client conversations.

The consulting services are flexible and scalable, ranging from large group workshops to branch-level and one-on-one engagements. Coast noted the offering is particularly valuable for growing practices onboarding new advisors and seeking consistent, client-ready skills across their teams. Advisors typically begin with an introductory overview session, followed by customized engagements based on their specific needs.

Coast also discussed Voya Investment Management’s recent launch of actively managed fixed income ETFs. Built on the firm’s long-standing expertise in taxable fixed income, the new ETF strategies aim to meet advisor demand for transparency, tax efficiency, flexibility, and convenience, while maintaining a disciplined investment process and long-term investment approach.
