Pat Schramm, Head of National Accounts for VanEck, joined Julie Cooling, Founder and CEO of RIA Channel, to discuss the VanEck Real Assets ETF (RAAX) and why real assets are positioned to benefit from the modern-day convergence of inflation and AI-driven infrastructure demand.
Schramm explains that the emergence of AI is creating unprecedented demand for infrastructure, energy, and industrial commodities at a time when supply chains remain constrained, defense spending is increasing, and governments are investing heavily to remain competitive. He believes these trends are transforming real assets into both an inflation story and a growth story. He adds that rising government spending is increasing demand for alternative stores of value, including gold and precious metals.
Schramm highlights that RAAX was designed to simplify real asset investing by helping advisors answer three key questions: what to own, when to own it, and how much to allocate. He notes that the ETF seeks to provide an all-weather real assets allocation across market environments and has become one of VanEck’s fastest-growing ETFs over the past year and a half.
