Toews On Navigating Downside Risk With Hedging

Phillip Toews, CEO, and Dan Kullman, Director of Education and Training, Toews Asset Management discuss how advisors can navigate downside risk with hedging.

Toews Asset Management, founded nearly 25 years ago, centers its approach around tactical upside market exposure. The firm’s philosophy aims to deliver better investment outcomes over time by tapping into markets on the way up, and avoiding losses on the way down.

Grounded in investment research and behavioral finance, Toews‘ time-tested equity and fixed-income strategies are designed to help advisors tackle challenging markets cycles, mitigate risk and ultimately achieve long-term client goals.

Last year, Toews partnered with the Wealth Institute to launch the Behavioral Investing Institute. The research-based initiative was formed to provide deeper insights into investor behavior, especially during times of market uncertainty. The institute’s advisor resources and coaching program seeks to arm advisors with the tools needed to manage client expectations, prepare for market crisis, and effectively integrate risk mitigation into their portfolios.
