Summary:

The income opportunity behind global commodities is increasingly relevant as advisors seek differentiated sources of private-credit income and portfolio diversification.

Join Gemcorp Capital for an educational discussion of the Gemcorp Commodities Alternative Products Fund (“GCAP”), a short-duration, asset-backed private-credit strategy focused on financing physical commodity transactions. Rather than making directional bets on commodity prices, GCAP seeks to generate income by financing the purchase, storage, transport, and delivery of essential commodities, with investments backed by underlying real assets and contractual cash flows.

This webcast will explore how commodity-backed private credit works, how GCAP’s approach differs from direct commodity exposure and more traditional private-credit strategies, and the risk, structure, and portfolio considerations advisors should evaluate.

Topics To Be Discussed:

  • The income opportunity associated with financing essential global commodity flows
  • How commodity-backed private credit differs from directional commodity exposure, commodity futures, public commodity equities, and traditional private credit
  • The role of short-duration, asset-backed lending in financing the purchase, storage, transport, and delivery of physical commodities
  • Key considerations around credit underwriting, collateral, transaction structure, monitoring, and risk management
  • The Gemcorp Commodities Alternative Products Fund: strategy overview, interval-fund structure, and considerations for advisors evaluating potential portfolio fit

Accepted for 1 CFP / IWI / CFA CE Credit
