Now On Demand.
This webcast will be hosted by Fulcrum Asset Management’s Deputy CIO based in London. A research focused firm started 17 years ago by the former Chief Economist at Goldman Sachs, Fulcrum has over 30 investment related personnel including 13 PhDs and invests across liquid asset classes with a focus on absolute return.
Topics to be covered include:
A review of where we are in the Covid global recovery and growth risks on the horizon (U.S. growth deceleration, Delta resurgence and weaker Chinese data).
Discussion of the Fed’s “transitory inflation gamble” and dilemma in meeting its dual mandate of price stability and maximum employment, as well as the consequences of a mistake.
Important to most investors, we will discuss whether fixed income has a higher probability of playing its traditional role of a lower risk uncorrelated asset or in the future is it more likely to be a lower return correlated asset and if so, what an investor can do about it.
We will then dig into some investment opportunities such as investing in climate aligned equities and how we seek to construct a portfolio that can perform in a range of different outcomes as well as be complementary to traditional market exposures.
