David Partain Head of Marketing FlexShares Exchange Traded Funds
David is Director of Marketing for FlexShares — the Northern Trust Exchanged Traded Funds Group, with responsibility for all marketing programs and brand management.
David has over 20 years of industry experience. Prior to joining the Exchange Traded Funds Group in February 2015, he served as the Investment Marketing Manager for Northern Trust’s Wealth Management division. Before joining Northern Trust, he held numerous marketing positions including at Van Kampen Funds and First Trust Portfolios. He has worked in a sales or marketing leadership capacity in several industries including television, consulting and oil & gas. David started in the industry as a fixed income portfolio trader.
In 2014, David was recognized with the Twenty Rising Stars in Financial Marketing by the Gramercy Institute for outstanding achievement within the industry.
David is a graduate of Wheaton College (B.A. in Communications & Public Relations), the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, Securities Industry Institute Program, and Liberty University (M.A. in Leadership & Management). He has also held a FINRA Series 7, 63 & 66 Licenses.
David is an avid soccer fan and his tweets often reflect the glory of Manchester United.
Christopher Huemmer, CFA Senior Investment Strategist FlexShares Exchange Traded Funds
Christopher Huemmer is a Senior Investment Strategist for FlexShares Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs). He is responsible for equity strategy and provides equity product development, investment strategy and related ETF product expertise to the team. Christopher serves as the catalyst and conduit for turning Northern Trust Asset Management’s investment thought leadership into successful ETF products. He leverages the firm’s portfolio management and construction skill sets and engages with client-facing partners to identify and develop innovative ETF investment strategies.
Prior to being named Senior Investment Strategist for ETFs, Christopher worked at Zacks Investment Research for 12 years, where he served as Director of Index Services, focusing on quantitative index strategies to be replicated in ETFs as well as other structured products.
Christopher received a BS degree from Cornell University and is a CFA charterholder. He is a member of the CFA Society of Chicago and the CFA Institute.
