Paul Kovarsky, Director, Institutional Relationships, CFA Institute met with Julie Cooling, Founder & CEO, RIA Channel to discuss the institute’s resources and designations for the advisor community.
The CFA Institute, well known for its Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, also supports the advisor community through a variety of thought leadership pieces, local networking events, and other continuing education designations. “The mission is to professionalize the investment management industry,” says Kovarsky.
The CIPM, Certificate of Investment Performance Management, is “tailor-made for the advisor community,” explains Kovarsky. Focusing on due diligence and manager selection, the designation can be completed within one year and is designed to be easily accessible. The CFA designation, aims to be the gold standard of investment management, and covers a comprehensive and up to date curriculum.
