Carly is Senior Manager of Business Development for Schwab Charitable. She builds new relationships with investment advisors and family offices by promoting the value of Schwab Charitable’s services to support their clients’ charitable goals and as a part of their wealth management strategy. Carly has over 21 years of experience in financial services, most recently as a Relationship Manager for Schwab Advisor Services and as Vice President of Institutional Sales for TD Ameritrade.

Carly received a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Colorado Denver and holds the Series 7 and 63 securities licenses. She lives in Los Angeles and directs her charitable efforts towards improving the lives of underserved communities and protecting the environment and its biodiversity.

Eric Joranson, CAP® Eric Joranson, CAP® Senior Manager, Charitable Strategies Group Schwab Charitable

Eric is Senior Manager of the Charitable Strategies group, where he facilitates gifts of non-cash assets and educates advisors and donors on issues related to tax, mergers, and acquisitions. He brings over 16 years of experience working in philanthropic planning and law, and has served in senior roles at Mayo Clinic, National Philanthropic Trust, and other national and regional charities. Eric frequently speaks and writes on charitable planning topics to help advisors and donors navigate how to make charitable gifts of non-cash assets such as private business interests, real estate, and other financial instruments.

Eric earned a B.A. in English and Philosophy from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and a Juris Doctor from Mitchell Hamline School of Law, and holds his Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP®) designation.
