Schroders’ Vogelhut On A Specialized Approach To Private Equity

Ethan Vogelhut, Head of Buyout Investments Americas, Schroder Adveq discusses the opportunity in small buyouts and how this specialized private equity approach can capture more alpha.

Schroder Adveq, a subsidiary of Schroders, is global asset manager specializing in private equity investments. The firm, managing roughly $10 billion in assets, aims to provide institutional clients with access to the most attractive segments of the private market. The global manager takes a full lifecycle approach to private equity, leveraging a team of specialists to identify opportunities in venture, growth capital, small and mid buyouts, and turnarounds

The Schroder Adveq U.S. strategy zeros in on small and mid buyout opportunities in North America. Historically, the U.S. buyout market has delivered strong performance, presenting investors with a diverse universe of companies at attractive valuations and transformation potential. Vogelhut says that specialization and delivering value through transformation is the key to outperformance in small buyouts.
