Ms. Adamson is a Partner and Co-Head of Distribution within Ares Wealth Management Solutions, which oversees Ares’ client management activities in the global wealth channel. Prior to joining Ares in 2021, she was a Managing Director, Head of Institutional Sales and Investor Relations at Black Creek Capital Markets, where she oversaw fundraising and relationship management for institutional investors, large registered independent advisors, family offices and ultra-high net worth individuals. Previously, Ms. Adamson served as a Director on the Hedge Fund Capital Introduction Team at Deutsche Bank, where she advised global hedge funds and asset managers on fundraising initiatives across strategies, and was responsible for covering institutional investors, family offices and funds of funds across the UK, Scandinavia and Switzerland. During her career at Deutsche Bank, Ms. Adamson authored the company’s annual Alternative Investment Survey. Ms. Adamson began her career at Citigroup within their prime finance sales team. Ms. Adamson holds a B.A. from Princeton University in History and an M.B.A. from Oxford University Saïd Business School.

Barry Miller Barry Miller Partner & CEO Ares Private Markets Fund

Mr. Miller is a Partner in the Ares Secondaries Group, where he focuses on private equity secondaries. He is also the Chief Executive Officer of the Ares Private Markets Fund. Additionally, Mr. Miller serves as a member of the Ares Secondaries Group’s Private Equity and Infrastructure Investment Committees and the Ares Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Council. Prior to joining Ares in 2021, he was a Partner in the Landmark Partners Private Equity Group, where he focused on transaction origination, underwriting and negotiation of private equity investments. Previously, Mr. Miller was Head of Private Equity at the New York City Retirement Systems (“NYCRS”), where he served on the LP Advisory Boards of more than 40 private equity funds. In addition, he was a Partner at Pomona Capital (“Pomona”), where he focused on sourcing and executing secondary transactions and was a member of the Pomona Capital Investment Committee. Prior to joining Pomona, he was a Senior Investment Manager at AXA Private Equity, where he was also Head of the New York office and served on the Global Investment Committee of AXA Private Equity. Mr. Miller currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Robert Toigo Foundation, an organization devoted to diversity in the investment management business and is a member of the Tulane School of Liberal Arts Deans’ Advisory Council. Mr. Miller previously served as a member of the Sponsors for Educational Opportunity Limited Partner Advisory Council. Mr. Miller holds a B.A. from Tulane University in Economics.

Joel Kress Joel Kress Managing Director Ares Secondaries Group

Mr. Kress is a Managing Director in the Ares Secondaries Group, where he focuses on private equity secondaries. Prior to joining Ares in 2022, Mr. Kress was Chief Operating Officer and Treasurer of Pomona Investment Fund, a registered, continuously offered, nontraded closed-end fund that invested in an actively managed portfolio of private equity secondaries. Previously, he was a Partner and Senior Managing Director at CION Investments, a manager and distributor of alternative investment solutions for the mass affluent. In addition, he was a Corporate Attorney at Fried Frank LLP in London and New York. Mr. Kress holds a B.A. from Connecticut College in Government and a J.D. from Boston University.

Chris Swensen Chris Swensen Principal Ares Wealth Management Solutions

Mr. Swensen is a Principal within Ares Wealth Management Solutions, which oversees Ares’ client management activities in the global wealth channel. Prior to joining Ares in 2023, Mr. Swensen was a Vice President and Product Specialist at Blackstone, where he focused on capital raising activities in the private equity markets. Previously, Mr. Swensen was an Analyst at BlackRock. He holds a B.S. from Penn State University in Economics.
