Dakota Wealth Management is an innovative RIA with roughly $2.6 billion in assets under management. Since launching just over five years ago, the firm has experienced significant organic and inorganic growth. Dakota’s acquisition strategy centers around finding the right cultural fit and skillset for the firm, explains Orvieto. As offices and are added, the operations team works to carefully integrate new offices and support the growing scale of the firm. Dakota’s organic growth is largely driven by the firm’s culture, says Orvieto, where 50% of client-facing advisors are women, 40% of advisors and support staff are under 40 and 80% of employees own equity.
