No Frills, No Thrills in Fixed Income – Harbor Capital Advisors and IR+M – 10.30.19

Summary:

Now On Demand.

Fixed income can be rather simple or quite complex. The last few years have generally seen explosive debt growth, increased corporate leverage, weakening investor protections, and a general weakening of credit quality. Many products have increased their complexity, and investors are often giving up liquidity. Given where we are in the credit cycle, a back-to-basics core portfolio can improve a strategy’s potential to produce the results desired from fixed income: diversification, stability, income, and insurance against risk. Join Harbor and two of IR+M’s Senior Portfolio Managers as they provide an in-depth discussion that will cover:

  • Recent changes in the debt markets
  • Contrasting results for unconstrained versus core
  • How fixed income can help protect against market drawdowns
