Bill Rys joined Citi in January of 2013 as Director of Federal Government Affairs in the Washington, DC Global Government Affairs Office. He serves as Citi’s tax lobbyist coordinating with Citi’s tax department and business units on major tax initiatives both global and domestic in scope. Bill brings to Citi more than a decade of experience serving in the legislative branch, executive branch, trade associations, and industry. Prior to joining Citi, Bill worked as Senior Advisor for Government Affairs with the Shell Oil Company. Bill also served as the Tax Council for the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), the leading small business trade association. In Government, Bill worked as the Deputy Executive Secretary of the Treasury Department, as Legislative Director for Rep. Melissa Hart, and as a Legislative Assistant to Rep. Rick Lazio. Bill received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Juniata College, a JD from the Boston University School of Law, and an LLM in Taxation from the Georgetown University Law Center. |

Barbara Mullaney is Head of Retail Relationship Management & Business Development, focusing on the retail segment for Citi Markets and Securities Services. Working with the senior most ranks of our platinum clients, Barbara and team work to align delivery of Citi resources, facilitate cross-markets product involvement, and act as a point of escalation and help to resolve issues. Prior to her current role Barbara was Global Head of Private Client Solutions responsible for the distribution of notes, deposits, certificates, OTC derivatives, warrants, funds, rules-based investment strategies, municipal securities, taxable fixed income, and hedging and monetization solutions. These investments are tailored to meet investor goals such as wealth preservation, yield, growth, asset diversification, and access to emerging markets. Barbara has over 25 years of experience in financial services, with nearly two decades in various leadership roles at Citi in EMEA and the Americas, including leading the firm’s retail structured products businesses in Europe and the Americas. Her experience ranges from leading capital markets sales teams and product structuring teams to corporate financial analysis. She is also a frequent speaker at structured investments industry conferences. Prior to her tenure at Citi, Barbara worked at the former Arthur Anderson. Barbara holds a B.S. degree in Economics and Accounting from St. John’s University. She is married with three children, and is active in numerous diversity and community programs. |
