MacKay’s DiMella Talks Muni Market Outlook

Chris Roberti, Managing Director, and Robert DiMella, Executive Managing Director, at MacKay Municipal Managers discuss the biggest challenges and opportunities facing advisors in today’s uncertain environment.

The concept of resiliency is a common theme amongst New York Life Investments’ family of funds and managers. Resilient portfolios focus on delivering long-term returns and achieving client goals, even in the face of volatility and up and down market cycles. DiMella says that anticipation and positioning your portfolios to take advantage of volatility is key.  DiMella and his team at MacKay Municipal Managers leverage active management and proprietary research to help them identify and anticipate disruptions in the municipal bonds market.  DiMella also discusses the pandemic’s impact on municipal markets, and his outlook on the municipal bond market going forward.

MacKay Municipal Managers is a recognized leader in active municipal bond investing and is entrusted with $59 billion in assets under management, as of 9/30/20. The team manages a suite of highly rated, award-winning municipal bond solutions, available in multiple structures, including mutual funds and exchange traded funds.
