Kittsley Talks Davis’ Actively Managed ETFs

Kittsley Talks Davis' Actively Managed ETFsDodd Kittsley, National Director, Davis Advisors met with Julie Cooling, Founder & CEO, RIA Channel to discuss Davis’ research-driven investment strategy and the firm’s suite of actively managed ETFs.

Davis Advisors well known for its actively managed mutual funds and SMAs, entered the ETF space in 2017 with the launch of Davis Select U.S. Equity ETF (DUSA)Davis Select Worldwide ETF (DWLD), Davis Select Financial ETF (DFNL) and Davis Select International ETF (DINT) in 2018. The move, ultimately driven by client demand says Kittsley, provides investors access to the firm’s proven equity expertise in a tax-efficient ETF wrapper.

The Davis suite of ETFs seeks high conviction, best-of-breed businesses with a goal of long-term capital growth. The benchmark-agnostic strategies aim to beat the index, not mimic it. Kittsley suggests that advisors can pair the Davis actively managed ETFs with broad-based indexed strategies to enhance returns.

Founded in 1969, Davis Advisors is an independent, employee-owned investment manager with roughly $26 billion in assets under management. Geared towards longterm outperformance and a selective approach, the Davis research team evaluates each company’s financials strength, culture, sustainable advantage, and quality of management.
