John Hancock’s Fuller On Multifactor ETFs

Michelle Fuller, Head of ETF Distribution, John Hancock Investment Management met with Julie Cooling, Founder & CEO, RIA Channel to discuss the firm’s robust suite of multifactor ETFs.

According to Fuller, multifactor ETFs have grown nearly 30%, based on AUM, while passive ETFs have grown by 19% and single factors have grown by 23% respectively. “Multifactor strategies allow advisors to smooth out the ride for investors,” says Fuller on the potential volatility in a single factor strategy.

Through its partnership with Dimensional Funds Advisors, John Hancock Investment Management has built a full lineup of five core and ten sector ETFs. The firm utilizes a team of national portfolio consultants and ETF specialists. These specialists also offer advisors support in trading, capital markets, and asset allocation.

Operating as a managers of managers model, John Hancock seeks the best managers in the business. Some of their flagship products include mid cap ETF, JHMM and large cap ETF, JHML.
