Doug Ewing joined the Transamerica Advanced Markets Group in 2012, bringing with him more than 20 years of legal and financial services industry experience. As director, Doug works to provide timely and relevant guidance on the legal, tax, and regulatory issues that impact financial advisors and their clients. He has been a featured speaker at hundreds of industry events, covering topics such as IRA and Roth IRA planning strategies, estate and trust planning, elder law issues, qualified retirement plans, Social Security and Medicare, and advanced annuity applications, as well as income, investment, and estate taxation. In addition, Doug has also helped advisors better understand the Department of Labor’s fiduciary rule.

Prior to becoming an Advanced Markets professional in 2007, he spent four years working as a financial advisor, obtaining his Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) and recently added the Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP®) designation. He began his legal career in 1990 as a litigation attorney, representing individuals, businesses, and insurers.

Doug lives with his wife and son in the Denver area, where he enjoys skiing, golf, and watching his son play soccer.
