Andrew Stavaridis, Chief Relationship Officer for Envestnet, joined Julie Cooling, Managing Director of RIA Channel, to discuss how Envestnet continues to build and deliver complete technology solutions for both enterprise and RIA clients.
Stavaridis notes that Envestnet is seen as a leader driving growth in the enterprise technology space, but the Envestnet platform also powers the RIA space. Over $2 trillion in RIA assets flow through the platform, using the technology to deliver products and solutions to their clients.
The Envestnet platform has technology that many competitors don’t, allowing connectivity between advisors and investments managers. Advisors can continue to manage portfolios and managed accounts, while leveraging the platform to access products and solutions. While many platforms offer a single point solution, Envestnet continues to attract RIA and enterprise clients who appreciate the scalable and comprehensive wealth management platform.
Envestnet continues to build and invest in their leading unified managed account (UMA) platform. Over the last couple of years, Envestnet has strengthened the outsourced consulting technology, which allows an asset manager or an RIA to manage personalized accounts at scale, offering direct indexing while allowing the management of an asset sleeve. This is a differentiated service that only Envestnet can offer today. Envestnet continues to develop features in the UMA, such as facilitating seamless reporting for alternative investments.
While artificial intelligence is becoming increasingly important in the industry, Stavaridis believes that people will always be needed to explain and interpret the machine’s output. AI will provide computing power to facilitate data analytics, but ultimately it is the advisor that works with the client to understand and benefit from the analytics.
