Alex Thorn, Firmwide Head of Research at Galaxy Digital, and David Chiang from Galaxy Vision Hill will discuss the landscape of venture capital investment opportunities throughout the digital asset class.

Galaxy Digital Research recently reported that 2021 was the biggest year ever for venture capital firms investing in crypto and blockchain technology. Most notably, crypto and blockchain startups received almost 5% of all venture capital deployed in 2021 (more than $33B in total). The trend continued in Q1 2022, with venture capitalists investing more than $10B in crypto startups, the largest quarterly sum ever. Every quarter since Q1 2021 has seen an all-time high in the amount of capital invested in such startups.

It’s hard to ignore the growing involvement of venture capitalism in crypto and blockchain technology sectors, especially as Web3 disruptions take center stage in the market. Join us for this timely discussion to hear how the crypto venture capital investment space is taking shape and why a long-term mindset is necessary to effectively take advantage of these trends.
