Daniel Ottensoser serves as a Managing Director, Portfolio Oversight and co-head of the credit platform at CIM Group®. In this role, he oversees portfolio construction and asset allocation for CIM’s credit funds, including handling first mortgage and mezzanine loans on real estate assets, single-tenant credit lease assets, broadly syndicated corporate loans and CMBS securities.
Prior to joining CIM, Mr. Ottensoser was a Partner and Managing Director at H/2 Capital Partners, an institutional investment manager where he oversaw direct lending. His experience also includes roles as a Managing Director at Goldman, Sachs & Co. and as a real estate attorney at Willkie Farr & Gallagher.
Mr. Ottensoser graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from The City University of New York, Queens College and a Juris Doctor degree from the Columbia University School of Law.
Byron Bent1st Vice President, Private Wealth GroupCIM Group
Byron Bent serves as 1st Vice President, National Sales Manager in the Private Wealth Group channel at CIM Group® In this role, he oversees the Independent Broker-Dealer and Bank/Wire sales team responsible for cultivating relationships with financial professionals and educating them about CIM offerings.
Prior to joining CIM, Mr. Bent worked at Inland Securities Corporation, most recently as Vice President, Internal Sales Manager and as an external wholesaler prior to that. He has also held sales positions at Cole Capital.
Mr. Bent earned a Master of Arts degree in Christian Ministry from Liberty University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Grand Canyon University. He holds Series 24, 7 and 63 licenses as well as the designation of Charted Mutual Fund Counselor (CMFC).
Mark SternAssociate Vice President, Portfolio OversightCIM Group
Mark Stern serves as an Associate Vice President, Portfolio Oversight at CIM Group®. In this position, he focuses on portfolio construction, capital markets, and fundraising initiatives for various credit strategies.
Prior to joining CIM, Mr. Stern held multiple positions at Cole Capital, including Director of Business Development. In that role, he focused on product development and financial and capital markets analysis, as well as distribution efforts.
Mr. Stern attended Barrett, The Honors College at Arizona State University and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance. He holds Series 7 and 63 licenses.
