Calamos Named Asset Manager of the Year and Investment Product Innovation By MMI/Barron’s Industry Awards

Thomas Kiley, Chief Distribution Officer for Calamos Investments, joined Julie Cooling, Founder and CEO of RIA Channel, at the 2026 MMI Annual Conference to discuss the firm’s Autocallable ETFs and its recognition at the MMI/Barron’s Industry Awards.

Following positive market reception to its suite of Autocallable ETFs, Calamos received two MMI/Barron’s Industry Awards: Asset Manager of the Year and Investment Product Innovation.

Kiley highlights how Calamos is expanding access to the structured products market through its autocallable ETF suite, which includes Calamos Autocallable Income ETF (CAIE), Calamos Nasdaq Autocallable Income ETF (CAIQ), and Calamos Autocallable Growth ETF (CAGE). He notes that the market has seen approximately $650 billion in issuance in 2026, reflecting the scale of the opportunity. By offering this exposure through an ETF wrapper, Calamos aims to provide advisors with additional portfolio diversification opportunities. Kiley explains that structured notes have historically been expensive and difficult to manage, while the ETF structure offers a more accessible, model-ready investment solution.

Looking ahead, Kiley says Calamos plans to build on its expertise in options and derivative income, focusing on simplifying complex investment strategies and developing income-oriented solutions, including tax-efficient income.
