Manish H. Desai is a Managing Director in Brookfield’s Real Estate Group and President and Chief Operating Officer of the Brookfield REIT. In this role, he is responsible for acquisitions, dispositions, capital markets activity, asset management and all aspects of portfolio management for Brookfield REIT. Mr. Desai joined Brookfield from Oaktree in 2021 upon the transition of REIT adviser from Oaktree to Brookfield. Prior to joining Brookfield, Mr. Desai was a senior member of the Oaktree investment team responsible for investment and management of its real estate funds, with a focus on corporate transactions. He worked with a number of Oaktree’s real estate portfolio companies and has served on the board of directors of STORE Capital Corp. and International Market Centers, Inc. (both specialty REITs). Prior to joining Oaktree, Mr. Desai served as an analyst for Morgan Stanley’s real estate investment strategies, where he was involved in several advisory assignments, as well as the evaluation of numerous properties and portfolios for acquisition. Mr. Desai holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Stanford University. |

Bernhard Krieg has 24 years of industry experience and is a Portfolio Manager on the Public Securities Group’s Real Estate Securities team. In this role he oversees and contributes to the portfolio construction process, including execution of buy/sell decisions. Prior to joining the firm in 2006, Bernhard was a Senior Vice President at Haven Funds and a Vice President at Security Capital. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. Bernhard earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Texas A&M University and his undergraduate equivalent in Business Administration and Civil Engineering from the Technical University in Dresden, Germany. |

Mr. Sievers is a managing director with Brookfield Oaktree Wealth Solutions. In this role, he is responsible for business development and management of this wealth distribution and servicing platform established to offer innovative solutions in real estate, infrastructure, renewable power, private equity and credit to financial intermediaries, financial advisors and their clients. Mr. Sievers has over 20 years of experience in research, product development, and distribution of alternative investment strategies. Prior to joining Oaktree in 2015, Mr. Sievers spent 15 years in a variety of business development and management roles for Citi Alternative Investment businesses, including time in Singapore as Asia Pacific Head of Citi Global Wealth Management Alternative Investments and as managing director for Citi Capital Advisors institutional business. Mr. Sievers began his career as a research analyst in Salomon Smith Barney’s Consulting Group working with the Global Investment Strategy and Asset Allocation Committees. He received a B.A. degree in political science from Adelphi University and holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designation. |
