Lauren is Head of Portfolio Strategists for Nuveen, responsible for leading her team of specialists to engage clients in portfolio construction insights and to deliver best-in-class asset allocation strategies and thought leadership on behalf of the broader Multi-Asset team.

Prior to joining Nuveen in July 2019, Lauren was a client portfolio manager, multi-asset investments for Schroders. While at Schroders, she developed and executed their multi-asset business strategy for the U.S. institutional and intermediary channels. Prior to Schroders, she worked in product development roles covering a diverse range of strategies at PineBridge Investments (formerly AIG Investments) and AllianceBernstein. Lauren began her career at Cambridge Associates.

Lauren graduated with a B.B.A. from the College of William & Mary and an M.B.A. from the New York University Stern School of Business.

Randy Schwimmer Randy Schwimmer Co-head of senior lending Churchill Asset Management

Randy is co-head of senior lending and oversees senior lending origination and capital markets for Churchill Asset Management, an investment specialist of Nuveen.

Randy has broad experience in middle market finance and is widely credited with developing loan syndications for middle market companies. Prior to joining the firm, Randy served as a senior managing director and head of capital markets and indirect origination at Churchill Financial. In those positions, he took responsibility for all loan capital markets activities and for managing the firm’s indirect origination platform. Before that, he worked as managing director and head of leveraged finance syndication for BNP Paribas. He spent 15 years at JP Morgan Chase in corporate banking and loan syndications, where he originated, structured and syndicated leveraged loans.

Randy graduated with a B.A., cum laude, from Trinity College and an M.A. from the University of Chicago.

Shawn Lese Shawn Lese Chief Investment Officer and Head of Funds Management, Americas Nuveen Real Estate

With over 20 years experience, Shawn serves as the Chief Investment Officer and Head of Funds Management for Nuveen Real Estate’s ~$90 billion Americas platform. He leads a team of seasoned portfolio managers in driving investment performance and partnering with our clients on their current and prospective real estate investments. In addition, as Chief Investment Officer, Americas Shawn oversees the end-to end investment process. He is a member of the Global Executive Leadership Team and Americas Investment Committee.

Prior to joining the business in 2015, Shawn served as a managing director on the capital markets team of Grosvenor Fund Management. Shawn has also worked as an officer in Morgan Stanley’s real estate investment banking group. Additional experience includes positions at Lazard, JPMorgan and Sullivan & Cromwell.

Shawn graduated with a B.A. from Columbia College of Columbia University, an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School and a J.D. from Columbia University School of Law.
