AMG has been partnering with leading independent investment firms for more than 30 years, providing permanent equity capital and access to strategic capabilities to magnify its Affiliates’ success while preserving their independence. Doolan works with AMG’s Affiliates on new products, growth strategies, and expansion into new geographies and distribution channels.
AMG is a leader in the evergreen fund space, having launched a private equity tender offer fund in collaboration with its Affiliate, Pantheon, more than 10 years ago. Since then, AMG has continued to build on this success through the launch of innovative products, including four new private markets and alternatives strategies in the last two years. The innovation of evergreen vehicles—including tender offer and interval funds—is helping bring private markets and alternatives to advisors and their clients. Despite significant growth, evergreen funds across private markets and alternatives strategies remain a small portion of the U.S. wealth market, leaving substantial room for growth.
Asset managers need to ensure that advisors and their clients understand these products and their use cases in investment portfolios. Alternative credit funds can fit into a number of style boxes, including income and equity replacement. The need for education around these products compounds when evaluating offerings across private equity, private credit, infrastructure, and real estate.
