Advyzon’s John Mackowiak On Defragmenting The Tech Stack

John Mackowiak, Chief Revenue Officer for Advyzon, joined Julie Cooling, Founder and CEO of RIA Channel, to discuss how an integrated technology platform enhances user experience and reduces technology risks.

Advyzon works with clients to defragment the tech stack. Mackowiak states that the most dangerous phrase in business is “Because we’ve always done it this way.” Advisors who use three to five pieces of technology may have problems they don’t even realize. Advyzon works to make its 1,800 clients’ lives easier by implementing and modularizing technology.

Advyzon’s platform implements technologies for eight key functions, including client reporting and billing, CRM, document management, client portal, mobile app, rebalancing, and investment management. The functionality of the investment management module includes OCIO, model portfolios, trade support, UMA, tax transitions, and direct indexing.

The tech stack is no longer fragmented because Advyzon built all of this functionality in-house. New features that are added fit holistically into the platform.  The user experience is enhanced when all platform and tech stack functions work seamlessly together. Mackowiak notes that members of the Advyzon team worked on the Morningstar Office platform, which will soon be closing.  Advyzon will gladly welcome users of that platform.
