Advyzon’s Charles Rowlan On Its New Family Office Technology Platform

Charles Rowlan, Senior Vice President for Business Development at Advyzon, joined Julie Cooling, Founder and CEO of RIA Channel, to discuss the benefits of a single technology platform for advisors.

From its inception, the goal of Advyzon has been to create a consolidated technology solution specifically designed for RIAs. The single consolidated tool includes functionality for trading, rebalancing, reporting, billing, CRM, document storage, mobile app, investment management, and a client portal. Advyzon has built all of this functionality from the ground up in a single source code.

After working together at Morningstar, the founders launched Advyzon in 2014.  Following the addition of 300 firms in 2024, the Advyzon platform is now utilized by over 1,700 advisors. Rowlan notes that the most fun part of his job is supporting advisors in their transition to a new platform.

Advisors who call typically are looking for a single functionality, such as a CRM or reporting functionality.  When viewing the platform, advisors are blown away by the breadth of functionality, broadening the discussion beyond the initial need for a single module.

The platform is updated every 60 days. This year, CRM workflows have experienced a complete overhaul, and the client portal has been revamped. The newest launch is Auria, an expanded version of the Advyzon platform, designed with additional functionality for family offices and ultra-high-net-worth investors. Auria is specifically designed to work with data on the unique alternative investments found in family office portfolios, as well as mapping of family structures.
