Advisors also express an interest in performing due diligence on impact investing strategies. Perhaps the key advisor concern regarding impact investments is evaluating performance and understanding and benchmarking whether investments can make a positive impact while also earning competitive risk-adjusted financial returns.
Advisors also note that investments in private markets are more likely to have an impact, as divesting shares in public companies simply transfers ownership to another investor without reducing the capital available to the company.
