Steve Luongo Steve Luongo Chief Investment Officer AIR Asset Management

Stephen Luongo is AIR Asset Management’s Chief Investment Officer and is responsible for managing the portfolio team and overseeing its investment and risk management. He plays a critical role in developing and executing strategic initiatives, structuring, and launching new investment products, and regularly interfacing with investors. Mr. Luongo is a member of the Executive Committee and Investment Committee, and he is the Chair of the Portfolio Committee and the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Committee. He has over 35 years of banking, treasury, capital markets, and portfolio management experience. Prior to joining AIR Asset Management, Mr. Luongo was a Managing Director of Peregrine Asset Management. He managed multi-advisor hedge funds and served as the portfolio manager for one of the first managed futures-based mutual funds. Before that, he ran Columbus Global Advisors, L.L.C., a commodity trading advisor and commodity pool operator. He obtained his banking and capital markets experience heading the financial institution’s portfolio and co-managed a $1B interest rate derivative portfolio as VP of capital markets at a Banque Paribas subsidiary, Credit du Nord. He began his career as a corporate lending officer to middle-market companies at the Central National Bank of New York. Mr. Luongo earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Hobart and William Smith Colleges and holds Series 3 and 30 registrations.

Scott Romanek Scott Romanek Managing Director, Sales AIR Asset Management

Scott Romanek serves as AIR Asset Management’s Head of Sales and is responsible for the firm’s direct and indirect sales efforts, strategic partnerships, fundraising, and business development strategies. He is a member of the Investment Committee and co-leads the employee mentorship program. Mr. Romanek has nearly 30 years of proven experience in the investment industry, comprised of trading, fundraising, implementing strategy, developing client relationships, and managing investor relations. Prior to joining AIR Asset Management, he served as Vice President of Distribution and Fundraising for MJM 2 Capital, a firm specializing in the fundraising, distribution, and investor relations of a macro hedge fund strategy. Before MJM 2, Scott was a wealth advisor with Morgan Stanley, focusing on bespoke portfolio construction for high-net-worth clients. Mr. Romanek began his career as a derivatives trader, becoming a Member of the Chicago Board of Trade, focusing on the US Treasury bond complex and S&P 500 futures and options. Mr. Romanek earned a Bachelor of Science in Business from Arizona State University W.P. Carey School of Business. He previously held the Series 7 & 66 securities licenses.
