Michael Cohick joined VanEck in 2011 and serves as Director of ETF Product Marketing, overseeing and coordinating product marketing strategy and implementation, client segmentation and targeting and client and public relations for the VanEck ETFs. Mr. Cohick also supports the firm’s tax-exempt fixed income and industry equity product lines including product development, strategy and marketing. Prior to joining VanEck, Mr. Cohick served as a Marketing Manager with ING Investment Management. He has appeared in the Wall Street Journal, Barron’s and Bloomberg, and is a frequent speaker and panelist in webinars, videos and industry events. Mr. Cohick holds a BA in Fine Arts from Goucher College and a MA in Strategic Communications from Columbia University. |

R. Paul Herman, FSA, rates investments on impact, ESG, SDGs, and Climate to pursue positive impact and profit potential. Founded 15 years ago, HIP (Human Impact + Profit) Investor produces and licenses 131,000 impact investment ratings of 10,000 global equities, 120,000 muni bonds, and 1,000 mutual funds and ETFs, including for 401(k) plans. HIP’s clients manage $7 trillion in assets, a portion using HIP’s Ratings. Herman is the author of The HIP Investor book (Wiley, 2010) and co-editor and co-author of the Global Handbook of Impact Investing (Wiley, 2021), both available in print and e-book, and both dedicated to the strong women of the world. Herman is a graduate of the Wharton School of Finance at the University of Pennsylvania, advised Boards and executives while with McKinsey and Company, found and funded social entrepreneurs at Ashoka.org, and shaped and measured impact investments at eBay founder Pierre Omidyar’s Network. Herman is an advisor to the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), and earned the Fundamentals of Sustainability Accounting FSA credential, a lifetime advisor to Net Impact and to Sustainable Brands, and a research fellow of the Global Institute for Sustainable Prosperity. |

Tom Butcher joined VanEck in 2017. He serves as Director of ESG for Van Eck Associates Corporation and is responsible for coordinating the Firm’s initiatives and activities in this area. Prior to joining VanEck, Mr. Butcher was an independent writer, researcher and consultant focusing, among other things, on strategic materials, in particular metals. Mr Butcher has over 44 years of experience in finance. Media appearances include the BBC. Mr. Butcher has researched and written for Roskill Information Services and, amongst others publications, for The Crucible, Defense News, Wealth Manager, Hard Assets Investor, Seeking Alpha and The Tatler. In addition to a number of works on disabilities and disability rights, he is also co-author of Laos: Laos a New Guide and a contributing author of The Critical Metals Handbook. Mr. Butcher earned MA and BA degrees at the University of Cambridge, England. |
