Speakers:

Lisa Langley is the President, CEO & Founder of Emerge. Lisa founded Emerge in January 2016 to provide distribution and marketing support for emerging asset managers. She has over 30 years of investment management industry experience. Prior to founding Emerge, Lisa has worked globally in the financial industry, she worked for over 20 years in Toronto where she was the President & COO of First Asset Advisory Services in Toronto, Canada where she raised over a billion dollars in assets and successfully sold the firm. She then went on to the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC) where she was the Vice President of Member Services and following this made her way to Scotland where she was the Managing Director of Global Product Development for Alliance Trust. Lisa landed in Buffalo, NY as the Partner and CCO of Sandhill Investment Management, before founding Emerge. Having served in multiple executive roles in the product development and distribution sectors in the US, Canada, and UK, Lisa found it was time to take her expertise and start Emerge. Lisa graduated from Loyola University Maryland with a BA in Finance and later received her MBA from the Kellogg Schulich School of Business Executive MBA Program. Lisa is originally from Baltimore, Maryland now resides in Williamsville, NY and is an active member in her local church community.

Catherine Avery founded CAIM to focus on creating dividend yielding portfolios with low volatility. With Catherine’s broad experience gained from over 25 years of global investing, CAIM has generated Top Quartile performance and achieved an impressive 5-star Morningstar Rating. Catherine favors this classic strategy because stable dividends benefit investors, retail or institutional. As a portfolio manager and an equity analyst, Jane employs fundamental research to select investment opportunities and construct portfolios that meet our clients’ needs. She is particularly excited to align her experience in investing with her desire to make an impact by helping clients express their mission and values through their investments and working with portfolio companies to create a healthy and sustainable future. Jane first became intrigued by the stock market in high school and was inspired by the idea that anyone regardless of their educational background, economic status, and career field can be an “owner” of these great businesses and benefit from their financial success. Since then, she has been a student of investing and now has over 18 years of professional investment experience. Over the years, she has interacted with hundreds of executives and developed industry knowledge across various sectors around the globe.

Before joining Zevin Asset Management, Jane was a portfolio manager and director of research at Grace Capital in Boston. At Grace Capital, she was integral to the equity and ESG research process as well as management of client portfolios and relationships. Prior to joining Grace Capital, Jane was a founding partner and senior equity analyst at Monarch Partners Asset Management, a fund manager and equity analyst at Fidelity Investments, and an analyst at Goldman Sachs. She graduated from the University of California, Berkeley and earned an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Jane is a board trustee for Boston by Foot, a member of the Finance Committee for the Meadowbrook School of Weston, and a member of the Boston Economic Club. Jane is a proud mother of two and enjoys spending quality time and traveling with her family.

Cate Faddis is the President and Chief Investment Officer of Grace Capital. Cate, a CFA and member of the CFA Institute, was previously an Analyst at Putnam Investments, and Auditor and CPA at Deloitte. Cate serves on the Executive Board of the Boston Economic Club, on the Board of Directors of La Tienda Corp, on the Corporator Board of Cambridge Savings Bank, and on the Board of Overseers for the Children’s Museum of Boston. She is a frequent guest correspondent on CNBC. Cate is multilingual, a proud mother of twins, and a beekeeper. She earned a Bachelor in Business Administration at the College of William & Mary and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
