Matt Hougan is one of the world’s leading experts on crypto, ETFs, and financial technology. He is Chief Investment Officer for Bitwise Asset Management, a pioneer in cryptoasset index funds. He was previously CEO of ETF.com, where he helped build the world’s first ETF data and analytics system, the leading ETF media site, and the world’s largest ETF conference, Inside ETFs. Hougan is co-author of both “A Comprehensive Guide to Exchange-Traded Funds” and “Cryptoassets: The Guide to Bitcoin, Blockchain and Cryptocurrencies for Professional Investors” from the CFA Institute’s Research Foundation. He is a crypto columnist for Forbes, and a three-time member of the Barron’s ETF Roundtable. |

David Lawant is a research analyst at Bitwise Asset Management. Previously, he worked for 10 years as an equity research analyst for J.P. Morgan and Itau BBA, the largest investment bank in Latin America. Lawant was ranked 13 times in the Institutional Investor Ranking among the leading analysts in his space. Previously, he was also a co-founder at Iron Capital, a Brazilian investment boutique, and a partner a Hashdex, a crypto index fund. Lawant holds a B.A. in electrical engineering from Sao Paulo’s University and a M.S. in management from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. |
