R. M. Davis, Inc. was formed in 1978 by the President and CEO Robert Davis. He began his investment counsel and financial planning service for Maine residents and those with a connection to Maine. He constantly put himself in his client’s shoes and knew he would want straightforward answers and simple solutions. If he also were facing the financial challenges of managing a large sum of wealth, he decided he would want open communication, so he always had his firm available to answer any and all questions.
He began R. M. Davis as a fee-only advisor so they would never have to sell anything but their advice in a timely and unbiased manner. By always representing their clients, he knew they could slowly build a good rapport build on integrity and trust that would lead their company to have a reputation for ethically representing their clients that is still known today.
