Julie Cooling started her career in financial services at Smith Barney in NYC as an intern in 1993. She graduated from Bucknell University in 1994 with Economics & Finance majors and joined SEI Investments in their Bank/Trust Technology division. She moved to San Francisco to work for Montgomery Asset Management and then Forward Funds. Julie held positions in product development, marketing, management and sales. She started RIA Database (RIADatabase.com) in 2005 after starting a family, and launched the Bank/Trust Database, Registered Rep Database and the Family Office Database. She launched RIA Channel (RIAChannel.com) which hosts webcasts, video interviews, financial news, research and advisor rankings. The team at RIA Channel now produces over 100 investment webcasts annually, and RIA Database supports thousands of users. The firm is based in Charlotte, NC where Julie lives with her husband, kids and dogs. |
