Benjamin F. Edwards’ Chris Keller and BNY Pershing’s Christina Townsend On The Value Of Cross-Industry Collaboration

Chris Keller, Executive Vice President and Director of Business Services for Benjamin F. Edwards, joined Christina Townsend, Managing Director and Head of Client Executives for BNY Pershing, on the RIA Channel at BNY INSITE 2026 to discuss the value of industry collaboration and the relationships built through the conference.

Keller reflects on attending BNY INSITE over the years, noting that the conference has provided opportunities to build lasting relationships with industry leaders while exchanging ideas around business challenges, strategies, and innovation. He recalls conversations that reshaped Benjamin F. Edwards’ approach to processing its annuity business and encouraged the firm to expand beyond its employee-only model by introducing independence.

Looking ahead, Keller emphasizes that as expectations on financial firms continue to rise and the pace of change accelerates, collaboration across the industry is becoming increasingly important. He views BNY INSITE as an opportunity for firms to work together on challenges spanning operations, technology, service, client experience, and interoperability. Keller adds that the relationships built through the conference extend well beyond the event itself, fostering ongoing conversations and collaboration throughout the year.
