Summary:

Join Fernando De Leon, founder of Leon Capital Group, for a discussion on how a Dallas-based single-family office is investing in fundamentally sound assets with broken capital structures.

Drawing on his experience building Leon from the aftermath of the 2008 financial crisis into a firm spanning healthcare, financial services, technology, and real estate, De Leon will explain where the firm sees opportunity today. Since 2010, Leon has co-invested on average 46% of the equity in every real estate deal alongside its partners, reflecting an approach rooted in ownership, operations, and alignment.

During this webcast, advisors will learn:

  • Why pricing changes since the 2020–2022 cycle have created opportunities in select assets
  • How Leon identifies capable sponsors and fundamentally sound assets with challenged capital structures
  • How senior or preferred positions at a lower basis may generate equity-like return potential
  • What advisors should test before backing managers pursuing similar strategies
