Gavin Nieto, Investment Analyst for FLP Atrato Consulting, joined Julie Cooling, Founder and CEO of RIA Channel, at the GTE Wealth Forum to discuss growing advisor interest in tax-efficient strategies and international equities.
Nieto highlights that tax efficiency is top of mind for many advisors as alternatives continue to gain traction in portfolios. He notes a growing interest in after-tax returns, since advisors are looking to deliver long-term, tax-efficient wealth compounding for clients.
On the public markets side, Nieto points to international as an area of increasing opportunity. He explains that earnings growth is driving performance, while an anticipated structural decline in the U.S. dollar could create an additional tailwind. He specifically emphasizes international small caps as an under-allocated segment offering diversification benefits, backed by a history of outperforming large caps.
