Dan Conklin is a Portfolio Manager for the Relative Return Team at Loomis, Sayles & Company. He co-manages the Loomis Sayles Intermediate Duration Bond and Limited Term Government & Agency funds. Dan also co-manages the Loomis Sayles Core Fixed Income, Short Duration Fixed Income and Intermediate Duration Fixed Income strategies.

Dan has 15 years of investment industry experience and joined Loomis Sayles in 2012 as a Fixed Income Client Portfolio Analyst. He moved to the Relative Return Team in 2014 as an Investment Analyst and was promoted to Senior Investment Analyst in 2018, and then to Associate Portfolio Manager in 2019. Previously, Dan was a middle office analyst at Putnam Investments, supporting the firm’s derivative collateralization process.

Dan earned a BS from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell and an MS in Finance from Northeastern University. He is a CFA® charterholder.

Jon Duensing, CFA, is Senior Managing Director, Director of Fixed Income, and Lead Portfolio Manager at Pioneer Investments, which was formerly known as Amundi US, and was acquired by Victory Capital in 2025. He supervises all fixed income portfolio management and research activities, and leads a team of approximately 50 investment professionals who manage a wide range of US and global fixed income portfolios for institutional and retail clients worldwide. He is also a member of portfolio management teams responsible for managing stand-alone high-grade credit, multi-sector credit, and cross-over fixed income strategies. He is a member of the Investment Committee at Pioneer Investments and a member of Amundi’s Global Investment Committee.

Prior to his position as Director of Fixed Income, Jon was most recently Director of Investment Grade Corporates and Senior Portfolio Manager. In that role, Jon led a team of investment professionals responsible for managing high-grade and crossover corporate credit exposure across all fixed income portfolios at Pioneer Investments. He was responsible for managing stand-alone high-grade credit, multi-sector credit and cross-over fixed income and absolute return strategies.

Jon joined Pioneer Investments in 1996 as Investment Analyst, and became a Portfolio Manager for Multi-Sector and Corporate Credit Strategies in 2000. In 2006, he was named Principal and Senior Portfolio Manager, adding an Absolute Return strategy to his portfolio management role, as well as personnel management responsibilities. He also served as Deputy Chief Investment Officer from 2014-2017.

Prior to joining Pioneer Investments in 1996, Jon was the Credit Officer for a member bank of Old National Bancorp.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Finance from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, graduating with distinction and departmental honors. He is a CFA® charterholder.

Mark Hackett serves as Chief Market Strategist. As a leader for Nationwide’s capital markets analysis, Mark develops content to educate financial advisors and their clients on financial markets and implications for investors. In this role he is responsible for asset class research, market commentary, white papers and topical market pieces. He has been featured in numerous financial publications and webinars.

Mark brings more than 20 years of experience in the asset management industry, including roles in research for both Nuveen and Vanguard Group and as a portfolio manager for Nuveen. He began his investment career at the Vanguard Group as a research associate in the fixed income group.

Mark has been interviewed by and quoted in numerous media outlets, including The Wall Street Journal, CNBC.com, CNN Money, The Associated Press, Money and several others. He also contributes weekly market commentary to the Nationwide Advisor Advocate Blog.

He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with concentrations in Finance and Economics at the University of Richmond, holds Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Chartered Market Technician (CMT) designations and is a member of the CFA Institute.
