Advisors may be able to grow their businesses by providing customized managed account solutions. Bauer sees increased demand from advisors for direct indexing. It can be powerful to combine an advisor’s portfolio construction with client preferences and a tax management overlay solution. Given the hockey-stick growth in advisor demand, Envestnet continues to add customization features to its platform. Because of the diverse needs of advisors and their clients, the Envestnet platform offers broad customization options. Advisors can fine-tune portfolios, setting custom weights for exposure to specific countries or factor risks.
The Envestnet platform integrates with a broad range of custodians and technology providers, enabling advisors to efficiently scale their practices. Advisors appreciate the ability to offer clients a consolidated story by drawing on multiple tools.
In 2026, Bauer notes that Envestnet will continue to upgrade the advisor experience and client customization tools across investment solutions and technology. New report-writing functionality will allow advisors to customize reports for their practice while remaining responsive to client needs. Investment solutions will continue to upgrade direct indexing and expand access to private markets in partnership with BlackRock and Franklin Templeton.
