Angelo Manioudakis Angelo Manioudakis Global Chief Investment Officer Northern Trust Asset Management

Angelo Manioudakis is global chief investment officer (CIO) for Northern Trust Asset Management and interim CIO for global fixed income. He is a member of the Asset Management Executive Group and chairs the Investment Policy Committee, which guides strategic and tactical asset allocation for Northern Trust portfolios. Angelo oversees investment performance, process and philosophy for approximately $1 trillion in assets.

Angelo oversees the equity, fixed income, asset allocation and alternative investment teams globally, with a focus on seeking to deliver investment strategies that compensate investors for the risks they take in all market environments.

Prior to joining Northern Trust in 2021, Angelo held leadership roles at multiple global investment firms during more than three decades in the investment industry. As chief investment officer for Fidelity Investments’ Global Asset Allocation Division, Angelo oversaw improvements in investment performance and asset growth across approximately $500 billion in assets. More recently, he co-founded Lantern Harbor Investment Partners, a Boston-based alternatives investment firm. He also led investment teams for public fixed income and derivatives at Sun Life Financial and institutional fixed income at Oppenheimerfunds.

Extending his passion for investing to community service, Angelo chairs the endowment investment committee, and serves as a trustee and Vice Chair, at the American College of Greece. Angelo also serves on the board of the Chicago Council on Global Affairs.

He earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and a bachelor’s degree in finance from Bentley University.

Christopher Shipley Christopher Shipley Chief Investment Strategist – North America Northern Trust Asset Management

Christopher Shipley is chief investment strategist for North America, responsible for the strategic and tactical asset allocation policy for our institutional and wealth management clients. Christopher chairs the Northern Trust Tactical Asset Allocation Committee and is a voting member of the Investment Policy Committee.

Previously at Northern Trust, Christopher was head of fundamental equities, director of equity research, and lead analyst in the financial services sector. Prior to joining Northern Trust in 2000, he was an investment associate in the equity investments division at Allstate Insurance Company in Northbrook, Illinois.

Christopher earned an MBA from the University of Notre Dame and a bachelor’s degree in finance from Northern Illinois University.

Wouter Sturkenboom Wouter Sturkenboom Chief Investment Strategist, EMEA & APAC Northern Trust Asset Management

Wouter Sturkenboom, CFA, CAIA, is chief investment strategist for EMEA and APAC at Northern Trust. He is also a member of the Interest Rate Strategy Committee and Investment Policy Committee.

As chief investment strategist for EMEA and APAC, Wouter is responsible for formulating the regional asset allocation views, putting those views in a global context and communicating the firm’s opinions to our clients. These responsibilities include participation on the Capital Market Assumptions Working Group that produces Northern Trust’s Five-Year Capital Market Outlook. Published annually, the whitepaper provides our long-term forecast for economic activity and financial market returns for asset classes and economies across the globe.

As a member of Northern Trust’s Investment Policy Committee, Wouter is part of a team of experts across various disciplines and geographic locales that produce long-term asset class forecasts, as well as set tactical and strategic portfolio allocations and recommendations.

Wouter most recently spent six years at Russell Investments as a senior investment strategist first based in London and then in New York. In that capacity, he was directly responsible for the house view on EMEA including economic and market analysis and worked closely with the multi-asset teams to help them with their asset allocation decisions. Prior to this, he spent six years in Amsterdam where he was a senior investment strategist at Kempen Capital Management.

Wouter is a CFA® charterholder and is a certified Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst. He holds a master’s degree in international affairs from the George Washington University and master’s degree in international economics from Maastricht University.
