Mr. Bermel is the Western Division Lead and Managing Director for StepStone Private Wealth, where he leads the Western region business development team and is responsible for executing on regional growth priorities. In this role, he manages and develops a team of investment professionals, sets clear direction across the region, and drives consistent execution in advisor engagement and client support efforts. Prior to joining StepStone Private Wealth, Mr. Bermel spent 10 years as the Vice President of Regional Distribution for Altegris/Artivest Investments, a leading provider in alternative investments, where he led a team in capital raising efforts to RIAs, Family Offices and Broker Dealers. Previously, he was Vice President at ICON Advisors Inc, raising assets in traditional investment strategies. Mr. Bermel received a BS in International Affairs and Business from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He holds FINRA 3, 6, 7, 30 & 63 licenses and CAIA Plus Certification.

Mrs. Petronelli is a member of the StepStone Private Wealth Solutions team and focuses on the RIA channel. Prior to joining the private wealth team, she was a member of the StepStone venture capital investor relations team. Prior to StepStone, Mrs. Petronelli was an assistant vice president, Senior Client Engagement Manager with T. Rowe Price, an investment management firm, located in Baltimore, MD. Mrs. Petronelli graduated the University of Maryland, College Park with a BA in English and earned her MBA from the University of Maryland, Robert H. Smith School of Business. Mrs. Petronelli is also a CFA charterholder.

Miguel Sosa is Senior Investment Strategist and is part of the StepStone Private Wealth Solutions team. He serves as the primary interface between the investment management and distribution teams, facilitating external investor interactions, including presentations, conferences, prospect meetings, and fund communications, to support strategic business development. Prior to joining StepStone, Mr. Sosa worked at various alternative asset managers in similar roles, including Bluerock, Altegris, and Wellington Management. Mr. Sosa has a degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of San Diego, and an MBA / SM in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Ms. Kenska is a member of the StepStone Private Wealth Solutions team and leads the West Coast Internal Sales desk. Prior to joining StepStone, Ms. Kenska was a Platform Consultant at Artivest, a leading provider in alternative investments, focusing on RIAs, family offices, and broker dealers. Prior to that, Ms. Kenska was a Vice President of Investments at Sheaff Brock Investment Advisors where she was responsible for providing investment solutions to T.D. Ameritrade’s Investment Consultants in Southern California. Ms. Kenska started her career with Nuveen Investments. During her 12 year tenure, Shannon started as a Marketing Associate, moved into an Internal Advisor Consultant position and was promoted to an External Advisor Consultant in 2008. Ms. Kenska holds a BA in Business Administration from the University of Florida. She is also a certified investment management analyst (CIMA®) by the Investment Management Consulting Association and holds Series 6, 7, 63 and 66 licenses.

Mr. Elio is a member of the private equity team, leading the middle- and large-market buyouts sector teams. He is also involved in portfolio construction for many of the firm’s largest advisory clients, SMA clients, and high-net-worth distribution platforms. Prior to joining StepStone in 2014, Mr. Elio was a Managing Director at ILPA, where he led programs around research, standards, and industry strategic priorities. Before that he was a Partner and Managing Director at LP Capital Advisors, where he led the firm’s Boston office and served as the lead consultant to North American and European institutional investors. Mr. Elio was the primary consultant for many of the firm’s largest clients including public and private pension plans committing more than US$5 billion annually. He held several progressive positions in private equity, including Vice President at State Street Corporation and Vice President at Credit Suisse First Boston private equity, where he oversaw the funds management group.

Mr. Fitzherbert-Brockholes is a member of the private equity team, focusing on venture capital and growth equity investments. Mr. Fitzherbert-Brockholes joined StepStone from Greenspring Associates, a venture capital and growth equity investment firm that merged with StepStone in 2021, where, as a Director, he led their investment activities in Europe. Prior to joining Greenspring Associates, Mr. Fitzherbert-Brockholes was a Partner and the Head of Alternatives at VCP Advisors (now VCP Apex), an alternative investment focused financial services firm, where he led their capital raising activities across the private markets and advised the shareholders on investments in alternative investment funds, including in venture capital. Mr. Fitzherbert-Brockholes graduated from the University of Bristol with a BS in Geography and holds a Masters in Leadership for Sustainable Development from the University of Middlesex.
