ROBO Global’s Buck On Gaining Global Exposure Through Robotics

Chris Buck, Head of Capital Markets & Sales, ROBO Global met with Julie Cooling, Founder & CEO, RIA Channel to discuss the growth of the robotics sector, and how advisors are utilizing ROBO in their portfolios. “Five years ago we pioneered the category. We specifically track and invest in global robotics, automation, and AI companies,” Buck said. Built with the intention to provide “diversified exposure to something in its rapid growth phase,” ROBO continues to attract a variety of advisors. Made up of mid-cap and small-cap names, ROBO offers unique global exposure. “Many people own Amazon, but what they don’t own are Israeli robotic surgery companies” Buck said on using ROBO to rebalance away from large-cap names, and as apart of a global growth strategy. Up 50% in 2017, and with over $2 billion in assets under management, Buck attributes ROBO’s success to the quality of people, process, and performance.
