Summary:

Now On Demand. As long-term real estate investors, our team of experts seek opportunities they believe are not only well-positioned for today, but also for the world we envision for the future. Join this interactive discussion where we will consider two fast-changing, dynamic contributors to real estate performance:

  • Evolving housing sector — one of the hottest and most compelling sectors of the real estate market; we have seen demographic shifts that are changing where we live and how we rent and purchase housing, from the booming markets of the Sun Belt to the recovering and soaring urban CBDs, from tradition multifamily apartments to the evolution of alternative housing, including manufactured, single-family, student and senior housing. We will discuss the factors driving these changes and the opportunity for next-wave investors.
  • Investing in a time of climate change — hear insights from our panel on the ways that climate change will impact not only the places where we invest, but also the type of buildings, the technology and amenities those buildings will require, and the risk-controls that may help protect our portfolios in the long term. We believe that investing in sustainable, climate-conscious real estate will drive value for our portfolios.

A word on risk Real estate investments are subject to various risks, including fluctuations in property values, higher expenses or lower income than expected, and potential environmental problems and liability. Please consider all risks carefully prior to investing in any particular strategy. A portfolio’s concentration in the real estate sector makes it subject to greater risk and volatility than other portfolios that are more diversified and its value may be substantially affected by economic events in the real estate industry. International investing involves risks, including risks related to foreign currency, limited liquidity particularly where the underlying asset comprises real estate, less government regulation in some jurisdictions, and the possibility of substantial volatility due to adverse political, economic or other developments.
