Goldman Sachs’ Steve Sachs Details Strategy Behind ETF Lineup

Sachs Shares Insight Behind ActiveBeta, GIGB, and GHYB.

Steve Sachs, Global Head of ETF Capital Markets at Goldman Sachs, recently spoke with Julie Cooling, CEO and Founder of RIA Database, about Goldman Sachs’ market outlook and their lineup of ETFs. Sachs shared that Goldman Sachs was constructive on the markets overall. They find that valuations aren’t as stretched as they may seem, and that there are pockets in equities where growth themes should continue this year. Non-US markets are also constructive in the views of Goldman Sachs, particularly emerging markets. Sachs also took sometime to discuss Goldman’s ETF lineup launched in September 2015 including ActiveBeta, and the Access Suite of fixed-income ETFs, like GIGB (investment grade) and GHYB (high yield). Through these ETFs, Goldman Sachs attempts to build a better index by using the tenants of active management in the ETF wrapper clients demand. Goldman Sachs delivers these products to clients through their partner advisors, who all receive the full resources of Goldman Sachs. The company includes an entire team dedicated to working with advisors to help them better understand their business.Goldman Sachs Asset Management is a $1.4 trillion money manager and manages over $700 billion in fixed income assets.
