Jeff is a portfolio manager at Principal Global Equities and co-leads the Global Systematic Solutions team. He is responsible for development and implementation of stock selection models, risk models, portfolio construction tools and proprietary analytics that support fundamental research analysts and portfolio managers. Jeff is a co-portfolio manager of the dynamic risk premia, active quantitative and thematic strategies. He also oversees the management of enhanced index exclusion strategies and full replication passive strategies. He joined the equities group in 2000 as an analyst, and named a U.S. equity portfolio manager in 2001. He has been with Principal since 1993, holding various positions with the firm such as investment accountant and auditor. He received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Northern Iowa. Jeff has earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. He is a Certified Internal Auditor and a Fellow of the Life Management Institute (FLMI). Jeff is a member of the CFA Society of Iowa and the CFA Institute.
Mark Nebelung is a portfolio manager for Principal Global Equities, based in London. He serves as a portfolio manager for global, international and regional strategies. Mark co-leads and is an active contributor to the firm’s global research and development team, responsible for model development and testing, proprietary technologies, risk management analytics and systematic strategies. Mark joined the firm in 1997 and has served as a member of the equities team since 2003, having previously been based in the U.S. and Japan. His background also includes prior actuarial and investment positions in Canada and Australia. Mark received bachelor’s degrees in actuarial science and statistics from the University of Waterloo, Canada. Mark has earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Institute. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA), a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (FIA) and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA).
Paul is currently a managing director with Principal Global Investors focused on the launch and growth of Principal’s global ETF business. Paul is responsible for Principal’s ETF strategy including ETF product development, infrastructure, and distribution and marketing. In this role Paul also manages relationships with ETF market makers, intermediaries, investors and service providers. Prior to joining PGI in 2015 he was a senior vice president and product manager at PIMCO’s Newport Beach, California office where he helped establish and build PIMCO’s ETF business. He received a bachelor’s degree in economics from Dartmouth College and a MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He has earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Steve is a senior director, portfolio specialist focusing on Systematic Solutions at Principal Global Investors. Steve is responsible for client portfolio management, product development, and business strategy for Principal’s Global Systematic Solutions capabilities. Steve joined the firm in 2017. Prior to his current role, Steve served as a product manager, SVP at PIMCO. His experience includes both active and systematic equity strategies including PIMCO’s portable alpha program and strategies managed in partnership with Research Affiliates. He received an MBA from University of California at Irvine and a bachelor’s degree in business from UC Riverside. Steve holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
