John L. Langston, CAIA is the Founder and Managing Director of Republic Capital Group. Mr. Langston previously served as Managing Director of Partner Solutions at Avalon Advisors, an RIA overseeing approximately $6 billion dollars in assets and a portfolio company of The Carlyle Group. John previously served as Director of Global Platform Distribution for SkyBridge Capital. Prior to joining SkyBridge, John was a Director for Salient Partners, an RIA overseeing approximately $16 billion dollars in assets and a portfolio company of Summit Partners. John completed his first financial services merger in 2007, helping to lead one of the largest independent real estate lending and brokerage firms in the Southeast. John has utilized his experience and training as a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) to advise the nation’s leading asset managers, RIA’s, and family offices on the development and application of alternative investments. Gloria Nelund

Gloria Nelund co-founded TriLinc Global after a rewarding career as one of the most successful and visible executives in the international asset management industry. She is responsible for leading the Company’s high-level strategy and directing its growth since its founding in 2008. Gloria brings to TriLinc Global more than 30 years of experience in executive management of multi-billion dollar financial institutions, as well as deep expertise in the creation, sales and distribution of investment products.

Most recently, Gloria served as CEO of the U.S. Private Wealth Management Division at Deutsche Bank, the world’s fifth largest financial institution. In this capacity, she held fiduciary responsibility for more than $50 billion in investment assets, including more than $20 billion in emerging markets and credit instruments. In addition to her role as divisional CEO, Gloria served as the only female member of the Global Private Wealth Management Executive Committee.

Gloria has been a pioneer in the development of social impact products. She was instrumental in making Deutsche Bank a leading institutional supporter of microcredit, creating multiple programs to help Private Wealth Management clients learn about and invest in the sector. Gloria also served on the Board of the Deutsche Bank Americas Community Development Group, with responsibility for providing loans, investments and grants to targeted organizations throughout the U.S. and Latin America. Gloria also served as Managing Director of Scudder Kemper Investments prior to its purchase by Deutsche Bank. While at Scudder, she supported the development and growth of one of the industry’s first socially-responsible investment (SRI) products.

Paul R. Sanford
Chief Investment Officer & Investment Committee Chairman

Paul Sanford is the Chief Investment Officer of TriLinc Global and is a key member of the Executive Management team. As Chief Investment Officer and Chairman of TriLinc’s Investment Committee, Paul has responsibility for planning, implementing and managing all investment management related activities of the Company and its affiliates. He is an experienced investment professional, most recently serving as Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer for Tow Financial Advisors, a Los Angeles-based boutique Registered Investment Advisor. As Chief Investment Officer, he was responsible for developing and implementing Tow’s global investment strategy, performing manager due diligence, and managing all fund investment relationships.

His extensive experience in the banking and investment industry includes portfolio manager positions at Deutsche Bank, HSBC and Morton Capital Management. For over 15 years, Paul has been recognized as a global macro investor with a focus on central bank policy, GDP growth trends, global interest rates, global currencies and foreign government policies with an emphasis in emerging markets. He is a published thought leader and has hosted regular Investor Briefings on his macro-economic outlook and global investment strategy. Paul earned his B.A. in Business Economics from California State University, Long Beach and previously served in the United States Marine Corps. He is a member of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Society of Los Angeles and the CFA Institute.

Paul serves on the Investment Committee for the City of Hope, an independent biomedical research, treatment and education institution, leading the fight to conquer cancer, diabetes, HIV/AIDS and other life-threatening diseases.
