Building Confidence Around Fixed Income ETFs – Nasdaq – 7.24.17

Summary:

Now On Demand.

Building confidence in the use of Fixed Income ETF strategies begins with dispelling a few myths regarding the structure of such products.

State Street Global Advisors, a global leader in fixed income ETFs, will discuss the pros and cons of this structure relative to individual bond purchases and traditional open-end bond funds.

We’ll discuss if ETFs are "friend or foe" during high stress market environments, e.g., What is "phantom liquidity" and what happens when everyone runs for the door? Will you be "stuck" holding the ETF?

In addition, Nasdaq Dorsey Wright will introduce one of their tactical fixed income ETF strategies that advisors can use to help navigate the changing interest rate environment as well as discuss our four “pillars” of tactical investing in fixed income markets:

  • Interest Rate Fears Offer an Introduction
  • Performance Dispersion Offers an Opportunity
  • Rules Offer Credibility & Differentiation
  • Rotation Offers Adaptation
